Prize Money:
Marathon purse of $20,000 (to top three in male and female divisions.)
1st place is $5,000 for each gender.
$1,000 bonus for course record.
Awarding of prize and bonus money based on "gun time" (actual finish).
Other Awards:
Trophies to top three male and female in Open (Overall), Masters, Grand Masters, Senior Masters and wheelchair athletes divisions in all three races. Trophies also awarded to top three male and female finishers in the Shelby County, TN division (marathon & half marathon only).
Plaques to top three male and female in Age Groups (all 3 races).
Awarding of trophies and plaques based on "chip time."
Walkers: are welcome in the MGH 5K and the Half Marathon but must maintain a 20-minute/mile pace (see Race info section for details.) Walkers are strongly discouraged from participating in the marathon.
