While prize money is no longer offered (except for MTRC members), the SJMMW will waive the entry fee in the marathon and half marathon for Elite Athletes who have bettered the below standard finish times in qualified races in a 24-month period prior to this year’s SJMMW.

In addition to free entry, qualified Elite Athletes will also be provided expedited check-in at the Expo, participation in the first wave at the race start and access to the private Elites-only suite at AutoZone Park baseball stadium (site of the finish). A limited number of complimentary lodging opportunities will also be available for the top Elite marathoners.

 

MRTC regional prize money

Memphis Runners Track Club (MRTC) will award a total of $2,000 in regional prize money to the top three male and top three female finishers in the marathon who are MRTC members in good standing and whose principal residence is within a 75-mile radius of Shelby County, Tennessee. Money will be awarded to each gender as follows: 
1st place - $500
2nd place - $300
3rd place - $200

Please note that this application does not guarantee acceptance or race entry. Normally within 10 working days after receipt of this form, our Elite Athlete Program Coordinator will contact the applicant or his/her designated representative to advise eligibility status.
